Vision FC hold struggling Karela United to stalemate in Tamale

Karela United and Vision FC played out a goalless draw in the opening fixture of Ghana Premier League Matchweek 10 at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale on Friday.

The stalemate extended both sides' search for consistency in the 2026/27 campaign, with neither team able to find the breakthrough in a closely contested encounter.

The result leaves Karela with 11 points from 10 matches, having recorded three wins, two draws and five defeats. The Pride of the North had entered the contest in 15th position, with all three of their league victories this season coming at home. They’ve now moved to 13th on the league log.

Vision FC also move to 11 points and 14th position after their second consecutive goalless draw, following a similar result against Port City FC in Matchweek Nine.

The Tema-based side have now recorded two wins, five draws and three defeats in 10 league matches, continuing a campaign characterised by inconsistent results despite their attacking potential.

Vision had scored in all four of their away matches before Friday's encounter, making the clean sheet a notable defensive achievement for Karela.

Karela United defender Gariba Faisal was named NASCO Man of the Match for his performance at the heart of the defence, helping the hosts secure a clean sheet.

The draw opens the Matchweek 10 games, with the remaining eight fixtures scheduled for Sunday, November 8, as clubs continue their pursuit of points across the league table.
